Privacy Policy

This page explains what personal information this website collects, why it is collected, how it is kept, and the choices you have. I keep it short and in plain language, because the site itself only collects what it needs to reply to you.

Who is responsible

This site, tonibarisic.com, is run by Toni Barisic, a freelance web developer based in Split, Croatia. For anything about your data, write to info@tonibarisic.com.

What I collect

I only collect information that you choose to send me. There is no visitor account and no login.

When you send a message through the contact form, I receive:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number, if you choose to add it
  • The message you write

When you book an introductory call, I also receive:

  • The meeting type you pick (Zoom or phone)
  • The date and time slot you choose
  • Your browser time zone, so the time is shown correctly for both of us

Why I collect it

I use this information for one purpose only: to read your message, reply to you, and arrange or hold the call you booked. The legal basis is that you contacted me and these are the steps needed to respond to your request, together with my legitimate interest in answering inquiries about my work.

I do not use your details for newsletters or marketing, and I do not sell or rent them to anyone.

Where it is stored and who can see it

To run the contact form and the booking, a few trusted service providers process your data on my behalf:

  • Vercel, which hosts the website.
  • Supabase, which stores the messages and bookings in a database.
  • Resend, which delivers the notification and confirmation emails, including the calendar invite for a booked call.

These providers only process the data needed to deliver their part of the service. Apart from them, I am the only person who reads your message or booking.

Advertising on Meta

I promote this site through ads on Meta platforms, meaning Facebook and Instagram. To understand whether those ads reach the right people, I may use the Meta pixel, a small piece of code that tells Meta when someone who saw or clicked an ad later visits the site or sends an inquiry.

When the pixel is in use, it only loads if you accept it in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you accept, Meta may set cookies in your browser to carry out this measurement. If you decline, or if no banner appears, the pixel does not load and nothing is tracked.

Cookies and similar technology

Apart from the Meta pixel described above, the website does not use tracking or advertising cookies. It uses a small amount of temporary storage in your browser only to play page animations and to remember your cookie choice, and that storage holds no personal information.

When the cookie banner is shown, you can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the Cookies link in the About panel, or by clearing it in your browser. You can also manage how Meta uses your data through your Meta ad preferences.

How long it is kept

I keep your message or booking for as long as I need it to handle your inquiry and any work that follows from it. After that, or whenever you ask, I delete it.

Your rights

Because I am based in the European Union, you have the rights given by the General Data Protection Regulation. You can ask me to:

  • Show you the data I hold about you
  • Correct anything that is wrong
  • Delete it
  • Restrict or object to how it is used
  • Send you a copy in a portable format

To use any of these, email info@tonibarisic.com. You also have the right to complain to the Croatian data protection authority, AZOP.

Children

This is a business site for web development services and is not directed at children. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If my practices change, I will update this page and the date shown at the top. For anything that is unclear, just email me and I will explain it.
